Basement: 2006-2007
These events took place in the basement of our house in Camberwell.
The walls and ceilings of the basement were soundproofed with old books from Peckham Library. The books were also valuable addition to the space visually, which resembled a large-print library of sorts. Sound limitation, however, was something we needn't have concerned ourselves with. No. 87 was a church-going household - on Friday evenings they would jump into their people carrier and go to worship. No. 91 were practicing Buddhists; the basement next door was a temple. They made it clear how much they enjoyed the harmonious addition of keyboards when meditating (during soundcheck for Fulborn Teversham).
